The Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics Research Network (DBPNet) was composed in response to an announcement :

to establish a multi-center scientific and clinical research network that will promote coordinated research activities and address health issues for, but not limited to, children with autism spectrum disorders  and other developmental disabilities. Furthermore, it will build a developmental behavioral pediatric research infrastructure that supports multidisciplinary research, focuses on the translation of research to practice, and provides an environment in which to train a new generation of developmental behavioral pediatrics researchers (Department of Health and Human Services, Announcement Number: HRSA-10-202, p1).

DBPNet is funded by cooperative agreement, UA3MC20218, through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration, Maternal and Child Health Research Program (Combating Autism Act of 2006).
